Delivery & Packing

Wrapped with care

Delivery & Packing

Vintage glass and china have already survived fifty years or more. Our job is to make sure the last few miles to your door are just as kind to them.

How Jenny packs your order

  • Wrapped by hand in plenty of bubble wrap, with extra protection around handles, spouts, rims and other delicate parts.
  • Double-boxed for fragile pieces, so the item sits in its own box, cushioned inside a second, larger box.
  • Recycled materials are reused wherever possible, so your parcel may arrive in a pre-loved box. It will always be clean, strong and well filled.
  • Posted within 1 to 3 working days of your order.

Buying more than one piece?

Postage is combined automatically. You only pay the postage for the largest item in your basket, however many pieces you buy.

International postage

We post worldwide, with a few exceptions where sanctions apply. All international parcels are sent tracked.

Larger and heavier pieces can only be posted within the UK; the product page will say so. Postage is combined in the same way as in the UK: you pay only for the largest item.

Your country may charge import VAT, duty or a handling fee when the parcel arrives. These are not included in our prices and are paid by you to the carrier.

Tracked or standard?

In the UK, standard delivery is cheaper and perfectly reliable for most parcels. We suggest tracked delivery for valuable or especially fragile pieces, because you can follow the parcel all the way and the carrier can trace it if it is delayed.

If something arrives damaged

It is rare, but it can happen. Please keep the packaging, take a few photos and email jenny@20thcenturystuff.com within 30 days of delivery. Jenny will put it right, normally with a full refund including postage. See our Returns and Refunds page for the details.
