The hand-incised script reads “Danesi”
Danesi Art Pottery was operated by Italian immigrant Gabriel Danesi from the late 1930s until around 1968.

The Finish: While famous for their chalkware, they created a highly collectible line of glazed ceramics. This specific emerald green glaze with brushed metallic gold trim is a classic 1950s Danesi signature style.

Because Danesi pieces are harder to find than Blue Mountain Pottery, they carry a wonderful bit of Canadian ceramic history.
